1. Appointment Policies

  • Appointments begin promptly at your scheduled time. Late arrivals may result in shortened appointment time or a need to reschedule.

  • Bridal appointments are one-on-one with an Edith Lane stylist.

  • Guests: We recommend bringing no more than 3–4 guests to keep the experience comfortable and focused on you.

2. Payment & Purchase Terms

  • All sales are final. Due to the custom and delicate nature of formalwear, we cannot accept returns, cancellations, or exchanges.

  • Special orders must be paid in full. Once an order has been placed with a designer, it cannot be changed or canceled.

  • Rush fees may apply for shortened production timelines.

3. Sizing & Measurements

  • Our stylists will guide you in choosing the best size based on designer charts.

  • You understand that alterations are always expected for formalwear and are not included in the purchase price.

  • Edith Lane is not responsible for size changes due to weight fluctuation, pregnancy, or other bodily changes after measurements are taken.

4. Alteration Policy

  • Edith Lane partners with trusted local seamstresses, but alterations are a separate service and must be arranged directly with the seamstress.

  • Alteration timelines vary; we recommend beginning 8–12 weeks before your event.

5. Pickup & Storage

  • Once your gown arrives, you will be notified via email or text.

  • Gowns must be picked up within 30 days of notification unless other arrangements are made.

  • Edith Lane is not responsible for damage to gowns left beyond the pickup window.

6. Appointment No-Show / Cancellation Policy

  • Please give at least 24 hours’ notice for cancellations or changes.

  • Frequent cancellations or no-shows may result in a deposit or fee for future bookings.

7. Photo & Video Authorization

By signing, you grant Edith Lane permission to capture and use photos or videos taken during your appointment for marketing purposes including social media, website, and promotional materials.

  • You may opt out at any time by notifying your stylist at the beginning of your appointment.

8. Store Etiquette & Safety

  • No outside food or drinks allowed near gowns. Clear water is permitted.

  • Children must be supervised at all times.

  • Please be mindful when handling gowns and accessories.

9. Liability Release

You acknowledge that Edith Lane is not responsible for:

  • Accidents or injuries occurring within the boutique

  • Damage to personal items

  • Allergic reactions to fabrics, clips, dust, or environmental factors

10. Agreement

By booking an appointment, you acknowledge and agree to the above Terms & Conditions and understand that they apply to all clients, guests, and purchases made at Edith Lane Bridal & Occasion House.
