The Founders Dairy Barn is part of the nonprofit legacy of Leroy Springs and Co. Named in honor of conservationist Anne Springs Close, this organization is dedicated to preserving natural spaces for generations to come. When you host your wedding at the Greenway, 100 percent of the profit from your event goes right back into the mission. Your celebration directly supports land conservation, outdoor community programs, and local families in need.
The Dairy Barn is just one of several venues on the Greenway. Other options include the Comporium Amphitheater, Greenway Getaway Lawn, Domtar Forest Porch, Historic Graham Cabin, Bruce T. Rush Pavilion, and the Gibson House Lawn. Each location offers its own beautiful aesthetic, giving couples a wide range of styles to choose from.
Cocktail Hour with Historic Charm
Stepping through the main entrance leads you into the cocktail hour and bar area. True to its origins, the building still features many of its original dairy barn structures. One of the former stalls makes a surprisingly charming spot for a cake display or photo booth. Creative Solutions Special Events, the designated rental partner for the venue, can help bring your design vision to life with thoughtful decor and rentals.
Indoor Ceremony Space
To the right of the cocktail lounge is a staircase that leads to the indoor ceremony space. This room can seat up to 300 guests and offers ample room for a larger guest list. The space is shown here with seating for 150. At the back of the room you will find the cozy groom’s suite, along with a lift for wheelchair access and picture-perfect views of the surrounding grounds and outdoor ceremony location.
The Milk Parlor and Bridal Suite
Opposite the staircase, sliding barn doors open to the milk parlor and the bridal suite. The bridal suite provides generous space and natural light for the moments leading up to your ceremony. The milk parlor can be closed off for privacy, making it an ideal location for first looks or family portraits before the festivities begin.
When it is time to dine, you and your guests will enjoy a delicious meal from the in-house caterer. Bar and alcohol packages are also available on site, giving you a seamless experience from start to finish.
Outdoor Reception and Ceremony Spaces
Step outside the milk parlor and you’ll find the outdoor reception area, framed by the structure of the original barn and a historic silo. With stunning views and plenty of open space, this is the perfect spot for dinner, dancing, and celebrating under the stars.
Just beyond the reception area is the outdoor ceremony space. A beautiful tree serves as the natural focal point for your vows, surrounded by open fields and the peaceful landscape the Greenway is committed to preserving. Walking down the aisle here feels like stepping into a romantic outdoor fairytale.
A Signature Photo Opportunity
One of the most unique features of this venue is access to the original working silo. With permission for you and your photographer, you can climb to the top for breathtaking golden hour photos overlooking the Greenway. It is one of the most iconic and memorable backdrops available anywhere in the region.
